Michael Campbell represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment litigation across diverse industries, including entertainment, financial services, healthcare, hospitality, retail, manufacturing and the public sector. He has obtained complete defense awards in arbitration, secured summary judgment in state and federal court, and favorably resolved cases involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.
Michael is experienced in class, collective and representative actions and single-plaintiff wage-and-hour disputes involving overtime, meal and rest periods, misclassification, inaccurate wage statements and related claims. In the entertainment industry, Michael advises producers and distributors of feature films, television shows, commercials and new media, principally in their dealings with unions and guilds. Michael has experience with advice, arbitration and dispute resolution with SAG/AFTRA, DGA, WGA, IATSE and their respective benefit plans and trusts, including creative disputes, "runaway" productions and residuals.
Based on years of defending large and small employers, Michael prepares and executes an efficient litigation strategy in each matter to assist clients in achieving litigation goals within their means and leverages his experience to strategically resolve controversies.
