Affinity Groups

Sheppard’s affinity groups are lawyer-led networks that provide peer support, informal mentoring and regular programming. These groups host meetings, client receptions, events and retreats focused on professional growth, business development and client engagement. All activities are open to members and allies, fostering collaboration and connection across our firm.

Lawyers of Color

The Diversity and Inclusion Attorney Network (DIAN) provides lawyers of color and allies a forum to address issues of interest within the firm and the broader legal community. DIAN serves as a network of support, advancing our commitment to inclusion and professional development for all lawyers.

LGBTQ+ Lawyers

Out at Sheppard (OAS) supports LGBTQ+ lawyers, professionals and allies. The group contributes to an open, inclusive and affirming culture by fostering positive change within our firm, client workplaces and broader communities. OAS builds meaningful connections with external legal and community organizations that support LGBTQ+ individuals and allies.

Parents and Caregivers

Parents Connection (PC) supports all caregivers across our firm by providing a community to share experiences, exchange ideas and navigate the responsibilities of work and family life. The group fosters connection, well-being and access to resources that promote personal and professional growth, while helping members contribute to an inclusive and collaborative culture.

Veteran and Military Lawyers and Professionals

Veterans at Sheppard (VAS) supports veterans, active military personnel, their families and allies. VAS engages in initiatives including legal education and pro bono projects, community outreach and transition support for veterans entering the civilian workforce, creating opportunities to serve both members and the broader veteran community.

Women Lawyers

The Women Lawyers Group (WLG) provides a community that helps women lawyers access tools and resources to achieve their full professional potential. WLG connects and supports lawyers across our firm at all career stages and collaborates with members and allies to foster an environment where everyone can thrive and contribute to collective success.
