Overview

Daniel Yannuzzi advises clients across the full spectrum of intellectual property law, helping technology-driven companies protect and monetize their innovations, navigate high-stakes commercial transactions and resolve complex business challenges. Combining legal acumen with deep technical and business insight, Daniel helps clients in the U.S., Europe and Asia grow and compete with confidence in fast-moving industries.

Advising on a full range of IP needs—including patent and other IP litigation, strategic portfolio development, technology licensing and transactional matters—Daniel brings strategic business‑focused perspective to building and executing IP strategies and portfolios. He has extensive experience assessing, avoiding and responding to third-party IP threats, in-bound and out-bound technology licensing, including standards-based licensing, and negotiating IP-driven transactions such as mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures.

Daniel’s clients include leading tech, energy, aerospace, transportation and communications companies, as well as private equity investors, venture-backed startups and growth-stage innovators in the electronics, automotive, semiconductor, energy, telecommunications, medical device and software companies.

Drawing on several years in senior in-house positions—including as vice president of worldwide legal affairs and assistant corporate secretary at Skyworks Solutions, Inc., and vice president and chief intellectual property counsel at Conexant Systems, Inc.—Daniel brings an insider’s understanding of how global technology companies innovate, compete and protect their intellectual capital.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Daniel was an engineering manager at Allied Signal Aerospace, where he managed the development and integration of spacecraft communication and tracking systems for various NASA programs. He also led a team of scientists and engineers in the development of high precision satellite laser ranging systems for NASA's Crustal Dynamics Project.

Outside the office, Daniel enjoys hiking and outdoor activities as well as yacht racing, wine and cars—especially motorsports and classic automobiles.
