Veronica Ascarrunz

Overview

For more than 20 years, Veronica Ascarrunz has litigated patent, trademark and trade secret matters in federal courts, at the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She is co-leader of Sheppard's ITC Litigation practice.

Veronica represents clients in a range of industries, including medical device, pharmaceutical, software, semiconductor, telecommunications and consumer products technology. She has secured successful outcomes for dozens of clients in Section 337 ITC investigations at all stages, from early resolution through trial and appeal. Veronica's experience also includes patent infringement litigation, Hatch-Waxman litigation, product development license disputes and USPTO inter partes proceedings.

A recent past president of the ITC Trial Lawyers Association and current vice chair of the ABA ITC Subcommittee, Veronica is a frequent speaker on litigation at the ITC.
