Sidney Howe is an associate in the Governmental Practice in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. She is a member of the Cybersecurity & Data Protection Team, Aerospace, Defense & Government Services Team, and National Security Team. Sidney serves as the Managing Editor of Sheppard's Executive Actions Tracker.
Sidney represents and counsels companies that do business with the Federal Government, including in the following areas:
- Cybersecurity and data protection counseling;
- Cyber incident response;
- Internal investigations;
- Government contracts;
- Federal regulatory compliance;
- Border security and search authority; and
- Compliance monitorship.
Sidney attended law school at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law where she earned a certificate in Cybersecurity & Crisis Management Law.
Prior to joining Sheppard, Sidney completed two clerkships in Washington, DC:
- United States Court of Federal Claims, Law Clerk to Special Master Herbrina D. Sanders
- Superior Court of the District of Columbia, Law Clerk to the Honorable Maurice A. Ross
During law school, Sidney worked for the federal government, including internships with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Department of Justice. She also served as a Student Attorney in the Justice for Victims of Crime Clinic and Vice President of the International Moot Court Team.
