Drawing on his financial and entrepreneurial acumen, he also counsels entertainment and technology clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, venture capital, private equity and corporate finance—helping clients structure transactions that advance their broader business strategies.

Prior to joining Sheppard, Segun was a Business Affairs Executive at William Morris Endeavor, where he counseled literary and talent agents on film, television, podcast and digital media deals. Known for his pragmatic, business-minded approach, he started his legal career at Aluko & Oyebode, a leading Nigerian full-service law firm, representing clients on mergers and acquisitions, project finance, commercial transactions and commercial arbitration and litigation.
Outside of the office, Segun is an avid tennis player and enthusiast who follows the major tournaments. He’s passionate about the performing arts—particularly contemporary ballet and dance, including the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater—and is a devoted visual art admirer who makes it a point to visit a museum in every city he travels to.
