With more than 10 years of experience in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, Margia provides strategic counsel to academic and nonprofit health systems, federally qualified health centers, clinical laboratories, pharmacies, healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical manufacturers, medical device companies and health plans on coverage, payment, compliance and innovative approaches to payment and care delivery. Margia represents clients in payment audits, overpayments and challenges to audit findings through state and federal administrative proceedings. Her success in Medicare and Medicaid payment appeals has helped her clients recover millions of dollars in reimbursement.
Margia also helps clients navigate many other federal and state healthcare laws, including the 340B Drug Pricing Program, the Stark, Anti-Kickback and Civil Monetary Penalties laws, the No Surprises Act, state licensing and certification, and federal and state civil rights regulations.
Prior to joining the firm, Margia served as Co-Interim Deputy General Counsel for Health Affairs, Privacy & Data Protection at the University of California Office of General Counsel.

Outside the office, Margia enjoys running and hiking with her dog and rooting for Michigan sports with her husband.
