Sheppard Co-Managing Partner and Executive Committee member Linda Michaelson plays a central role in shaping and executing the firm’s strategic direction. She helps strengthen our unique culture and provides oversight to several practices, as well as industry and client teams. Linda is guided by her commitment to excellence, client service and a collaborative, inclusive culture.
Linda brings extensive leadership experience, including five years as leader of the Corporate practice and seven years on the Compensation Committee. She is a trusted corporate advisor with deep knowledge of the business of law.
With a distinguished career representing companies in complex corporate transactions, Linda focuses on the entertainment and media, advertising, technology, fashion and apparel, gaming, financial services and renewable energy industries. She regularly advises major motion picture studios, television networks, independent production companies, media companies, investors and other institutional clients in mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and corporate finance matters worldwide.
Her practice also encompasses representing public and private companies in a variety of corporate transactions and other corporate matters, including formation planning, strategic alliances, public and private equity and debt offerings, corporate governance, executive employment and compensation structures and shareholder relationships.
Linda’s experience is widely respected across the entertainment and business law sectors. Her work has earned repeated recognition from leading legal and industry publications, including her selection as one of The Hollywood Reporter’s Top Dealmakers of 2023.
She’s served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Bet Tzedek, a pro bono legal services organization, for 15 years, including as chair from 2022-2024.
