Overview

Jason Gasper represents employers in various labor and employment law matters involving state and federal wage and hour laws, wrongful discharge, employment discrimination and harassment, employee discipline and termination, and leave of absence issues.

With a significant focus on compliance, Jason conducts internal wage and hour and employment practices audits to identify potential employer liability before it surfaces in a lawsuit or government audit. When state and federal government audits arise, he regularly represents employers in those audits. Jason also regularly assists employers in the defense of wage and hour class actions and PAGA actions, and he provides strategic advice and assistance with prospective compliance.

Jason advises employers on wage and hour issues, personnel policies and procedures, employee discipline and termination, disability accommodations, leaves of absence and WARN Act compliance. He also drafts and reviews employee handbooks, employment contracts, commission and bonus plans, and independent contractor agreements, and assists employers with a range of other transactional matters.
