Teresa Morin represents clients in complex business and technology-related disputes, with a particular focus on privacy, consumer protection, and data breach litigation. She has handled cases in both domestic arbitration and traditional litigation across state and federal courts. Teresa’s litigation experience spans a range of industries—including insurance, healthcare, retail, construction, and private wealth—giving her a broad understanding of sector-specific risks and regulatory landscapes. She is especially skilled in navigating disputes arising from alleged violations of privacy laws arising out of the use of online tracking technologies, chatbots, and other web-based technologies.
In the courtroom, Teresa brings substantial trial experience. She has been actively involved in all stages of trial, including conducting voir dire, examining witnesses, and arguing motions in limine. Her strategic participation has been instrumental in securing favorable outcomes for her clients and addressing post-trial and appeal issues.
In addition, Teresa maintains a robust pro bono practice. She represents asylum seekers fleeing political persecution and advocates for survivors of domestic abuse and harassment. She began her pro bono journey as a student at USD Law's Women's Clinic, where she represented clients in restraining order and family law matters.
During law school, Teresa served as a judicial extern to the Honorable M. Margaret McKeown of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the Honorable Thomas J. Whelan of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, and the Honorable William V. Gallo of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
Teresa served as a Lead Articles Editor for the San Diego Law Review and was a member of USD's Appellate Moot Court Associate Board, where she won first place overall in both the Alumni Torts and Paul A. McLennon, Sr. Honors Moot Court Competitions.
Prior to law school, Teresa worked in Washington, D.C. in international technology and manufacturing policy.
