Sasha Vujcic is a patent litigator and registered patent attorney who represents technology companies in high-stakes patent disputes in federal district court and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
Sasha has handled matters in the Eastern District of Texas, the Northern and Southern Districts of California, and the PTAB. That work covers the full life of a case, including pleadings-stage motions, venue and stay strategy, claim construction, fact and expert discovery, and trial.
Sasha also brings five years of patent prosecution and counseling experience. In that role Sasha prepared and prosecuted patent applications and drafted patentability, freedom-to-operate, invalidity and infringement opinions. Sasha also advised clients on competitor risk and IP due diligence for M&A transactions. Having seen patents from the drafting side gives Sasha a practical view of claim scope, prosecution history and validity that informs litigation strategy.
Sasha's technical experience spans wireless communications (3G/4G/5G and Wi-Fi), RF and analog/digital circuits, semiconductors, wireless charging, data storage and 3D NAND memory, sensor fusion, chip thermal management, smart network interface cards (SmartNICs), satellite communications, cloud computing, virtualization, machine learning and content delivery networks.
Before practicing law, Sasha spent nearly a decade as an electrical engineer designing and testing radio frequency (RF) and transceiver circuits for cellular chipsets at Qualcomm, MediaTek, pSemi (Peregrine Semiconductor) and Unisoc (Spreadtrum Communications).
