Sami Hasan has extensive experience litigating a wide range of employment claims before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts. He focuses on wage and hour class actions and matters involving California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), in addition to handling discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA).
Sami also counsels employers and prepares employment policies on a variety of topics, including:

Before joining Sheppard, Sami was an lawyer at an international labor and employment law firm. He also served as staff counsel at the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (now the California Civil Rights Department). Sami uses this previous experience to counsel employers as they face government enforcement actions and navigate California’s complex discrimination, harassment and retaliation laws.
