Maeve O’Leary is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.
Maeve represents private equity funds and their portfolio companies in M&A transactions and general corporate governance matters. Her experience includes asset purchases, equity purchases, mergers, and carve-outs for both buy and sell-side transactions, as well as ongoing corporate governance and compliance, across a variety of industries. Maeve is also a member of the firm’s Private Equity team and the Women’s Law Group.
Maeve earned her J.D. from George Mason Antonin Scalia Law School, graduating with honors and a concentration in Business Law & Financial Regulation. While there, she served as Senior Notes Editor for the George Mason Law Review and as a Writing Fellow for the first-year legal writing course. She also participated in moot court as a member of the Nationals Team, earning Second Best Brief in the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition.
Prior to joining Sheppard, Maeve worked on the in-house legal team at a consulting firm. She received her B.A. from Villanova University in economics and political science.
