Lisa Lewis is experienced at providing advice and counsel on a wide variety of employment law issues, including compliance with federal, state and local sexual harassment and anti-discrimination, medical and family leave and wage and hour laws, with a particular focus on providing advice and counseling to advertising and media clients. She also counsels clients on developing and implementing employment policies and employee handbooks and negotiates and drafts employment and separation agreements. She has extensive experience providing anti-harassment, anti-discrimination and employment law compliance trainings for employees and managers.
In addition, Lisa represents employers in employment-based litigation in both judicial and arbitral forums, including disputes relating to breach of restrictive covenants and employment agreements, misappropriation of trade secrets, discrimination and harassment allegations, and wrongful termination. In particular, she has substantial experience defending employers in complex class and collective action wage and hour cases.
Lisa currently represents a number of advertising and media clients, providing them with day-to-day employment law counseling, conducting internal investigations and defending against employment discrimination and wage and hour claims.
Lisa is actively involved in pro bono work at the firm and received awards for Outstanding Pro Bono Service from the Legal Aid Society in 2005 and 2006.
