John Tishler is a seasoned transactional lawyer who leads teams to design, negotiate and execute complex business transactions. A co-leader of Sheppard’s Corporate practice group, his work involves domestic and international capital markets, corporate and project finance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and technology.
With deep technical knowledge of securities and corporations law, and highly skilled in navigating deals, John is prized by clients for his listening and diagnostic skills, steady calm in crisis situations and advice and counsel with difficult decisions. John relentlessly focuses on getting deals done while optimizing outcomes.
John’s clients include established NYSE, NASDAQ and international exchange issuers, closely held businesses, leading real estate developers and smaller high-growth clients.
Committed to developing the next generation of corporate dealmakers, John regularly mentors team members on technical matters and human factors important to successful transactional lawyering.
In his free time, John is himself a student—learning to sing and play piano. He also enjoys listening to live music and collects vinyl records, especially jazz and classic rock.
