Jaime Choi helps clients patent complex technologies and build strategic intellectual property portfolios across a variety of sectors, including bioinformatics, medical devices, robotics, semiconductors, photonics and advanced imaging. She also has deep experience advising on patent, licensing and trade secrets disputes, including litigation and arbitration.
Clients benefit from Jaime’s international law firm experience in the United States and United Kingdom. She establishes global patent portfolios and supports disputes involving technologies such as genomic sequencing, smartphones and medical devices. She also drafts patent applications for direct filing with the European Patent Office; prosecutes European, U.S. and international patent applications; performs freedom-to-operate and infringement analyses of third-party patents; and advises on U.S. contractual issues.
Jaime frequently provides essential intellectual property guidance to innovators in the startup community through her work with the University of San Diego, UCI Beall Applied Innovation, USC Stevens Center for Innovation and Zahn Innovation Center at the City College of New York.
