Hyo Jin is an experienced intellectual property practitioner and regularly counsels clients on protecting their intellectual property rights. She has extensive experience representing prominent fashion and luxury brands with their brand protection and enforcement strategies, transactional matters and intellectual property litigations, including trademark, trade dress and copyright infringements, counterfeiting and false advertising claims. Additionally, she has conducted intellectual property due diligence for clients in the food, beverage and hospitality industry. Hyo Jin’s work includes all phases of trademark prosecution process (U.S. and international), including mark clearance, registration and maintenance, and she has handled various proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Hyo Jin also has experience in general commercial litigation in both state and federal courts.

Representing Chanel in pending action against second-hand reseller for trademark infringement, counterfeiting, and false advertising based on defendant’s alleged advertising and sales of infringing, non-genuine CHANEL-branded products.

Chanel, Inc. v. What Comes Around Goes Around LLC (2d Cir. 2025)
Representing Chanel in appeal brought by defendants of unanimous jury verdict in favor of Chanel based on claims of  trademark infringement and counterfeiting based on second-hand reseller defendants’ advertising and sales of infringing CHANEL-branded products.

Rolex Watch U.S.A. v. Jewelry Unlimited et al. (N.D. Ga. 2025)
Represented Rolex in connection with summary judgment against seller of materially-altered ROLEX-branded watches on claims for trademark infringement, trademark counterfeiting, and false designation of origin.  Consent judgment and permanent injunction entered against defendants.

Chanel, Inc. v. What Comes Around Goes Around LLC (S.D.N.Y. 2024)
Represented Chanel in connection with summary judgment and post-trial motions against second-hand reseller for willful trademark infringement, counterfeiting, false association, and false advertising.  Part of the trial team that secured unanimous jury verdict awarding maximum statutory damages to Chanel.  The defendants’ post-trial motions seeking a directed verdict and new trial were denied.

Obtained consent judgment and permanent injunction against seller of materially-altered ROLEX-branded watches.
