Gazal Pour-Moezzi helps clients develop, protect and enforce their brands in the United States and across the globe. With a practice that spans entertainment, technology, food and beverage, healthcare and consumer products, she advises some of the world’s leading companies on trademark acquisition, portfolio strategy and enforcement.
Gazal works closely with clients to manage and grow worldwide trademark portfolios with an eye toward business priorities, market expansion and evolving risk. She helps clients anticipate and navigate clearance and conflict issues, resolve disputes efficiently and make informed decisions about where and how to protect their marks in an increasingly competitive global marketplace.
While her practice is rooted in strategic counseling and portfolio management, Gazal also represents clients in trademark disputes, including matters involving infringement, false advertising and unfair competition under the Lanham Act and state laws. She has secured significant monetary awards for clients, including trebled damages and recovery of attorneys’ fees under the Lanham Act’s “exceptional case” standard. In addition, Gazal prosecutes and defends matters before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), and she handles domestic and international domain name disputes through arbitration.
