Overview

Christine Hourcade-Hoefliger focuses her practice on the sale, acquisition and financing of renewable energy projects, including cash equity, tax equity and tax credit transfer transactions.

Negotiating and documenting transactions involving solar, wind and battery storage projects, along with leading due diligence efforts for tax equity investors, tax credit buyers, and cash equity investors, form a core part of her practice.

Additionally, Christine acts as outside general counsel for select clients, providing practical counsel on identifying and managing legal and business risks as well as advising on day-to-day corporate matters, including commercial contracts and corporate governance.

Christine began her legal career in Paris and continues to advise multinational, French and other foreign clients, drawing on her in-depth understanding of European business culture and legal frameworks. As co-chair of the firm’s French Desk, she is a critical resource for European clients investing or operating in the United States. 

Outside of her legal practice, Christine enjoys serving on the board of the French-American Chamber of Commerce of California and on the board of Career Girls, an organization dedicated to inspiring and empowering young girls worldwide by providing access to accomplished and diverse women role models.

  • Representing a major developer in connection with its sale of a 50% equity interest in two wind projects representing 300 MW of wind-power capacity
  • Represented a major developer in connection with its sale of a 50% equity interest in a wind project representing 200 MW of wind-power capacity
  • Represented a major developer in connection with its sale of a 80% equity interest in a portfolio of two wind farms representing 405 MW of wind-power capacity
