Christina Nguyen is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group in the firm's New York office and a member of the firm’s Healthcare Team. She is also member of Healthy AI a subgroup focused on developing expertise, and engaging with others, on the use of artificial intelligence in health care settings and is also a member of the firm’s Women in Healthcare Leadership Collaborative, which promotes advancing women into leadership positions within the healthcare and life sciences industries.
Christina’s practice focuses on advising clients on corporate transactional matters, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, venture capital financings, and corporate governance. With her particular focus in the healthcare industry, she has experience assisting clients with acquiring, selling, forming, and investing in various entities such as not-for-profit and for-profit hospitals and health systems, home care services, and other healthcare-oriented entities.
She is also deeply committed to pro bono work, dedicating significant efforts to representing and supporting also those in need. She has experience representing pro bono clients on a wide-range of matters, including (but not limited to): (1) representing low-income transgender, gender non-conforming, non-bi-nary individuals with gender-related legal name and identity change services (2) representing victims of domestic violence in their application for a green card, (3) representing victims in their application for asylum, and (4) advising small businesses on corporation formation, governance, and lease matters.
Education & Background
Christina earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law. She served as a student attorney in the St. John’s University School of Law Securities Arbitration Clinic, managing editor of the Commercial Division Online Law Report, Director of External Competitions for the Dispute Resolution Society, Vice-President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA), and competed in Vienna, Austria at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition. She received a B.S. in Legal Studies from St. John’s University.
Christina is also committed to diversity and inclusion as a member of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Attorney Network(DIAN), Women Lawyers Group, New York Diversity and Inclusion Office Working Group, as Vice President of Membership of the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York (KALAGNY), member of the National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys (NCVAA) board, and co-chair of the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY) Career Advancement Committee.
Outside of her practice, and her pro bono and diversity efforts, she is an avid volleyball player and escape room enthusiast, having over one hundred (100) escapes under her belt.
