Sheppard is pleased to announce that Kevin Cyrulnik has joined the firm as a partner in the Business Trial practice group in New York. He joins from Kasowitz.
Cyrulnik’s hiring is part of Sheppard's continued strategic expansion of its Business Trial practice and adds depth to the firm’s ability to represent clients in commercial real estate disputes and other significant trial matters. He is the ninth lateral partner to join Sheppard’s New York office since 2025, including, most recently, Luke Taeschler, Brian Sieben and Robert Katsnelson.
An experienced and accomplished trial lawyer, Cyrulnik’s practice is anchored in real estate litigation, where he handles high-stakes disputes involving commercial properties, development projects and complex ownership structures. His broader practice spans complex commercial litigation, structured finance products, cryptocurrency and antitrust matters. He represents major corporations, partnerships, hedge funds and other investment firms, financial institutions and high-net-worth individuals in a wide range of matters in federal and state courts, in arbitration and before regulatory authorities.
"Clients rely on Kevin to guide them through their most consequential disputes,” said Luca Salvi, chair of Sheppard. “His practice complements our existing strengths in complex commercial disputes and further elevates the prominence of our litigation practice in New York and nationally.”
Cyrulnik has represented clients in a wide range of high-stakes disputes, including Amzak Capital Management in litigation involving ownership interests in a portfolio of buildings valued in the hundreds of millions; Ashkenazy Acquisition Corporation in litigation involving Class A real estate assets across the nation; and one of the country’s largest chicken producers in matters arising from the U.S. Department of Justice's high-profile investigation into alleged price fixing in the poultry industry.
"Kevin brings the battle-tested courtroom experience and sector-focus insight that clients need in high-stakes litigation,” said Robert Friedman, co-leader of Sheppard's Business Trial practice group. “We are thrilled to welcome him to the firm.”
"Sheppard offers a premier national litigation practice with the industry depth and experience to handle the complex, bet-the-company disputes my clients litigate," said Cyrulnik. "The firm’s reputation and its culture are what drew me here. I'm excited to work shoulder-to-shoulder with my new colleagues and to keep delivering meaningful and critical outcomes for the clients who trust me with their toughest challenges."
Cyrulnik earned his B.A., summa cum laude, from Yeshiva University and his J.D. from Yale Law School.
