The postpartum period does not end when leave ends. Employees often face systemic barriers to postpartum mental health care, including long specialist waitlists, provider shortages, and "ghost networks" of unreachable providers, even as Medicaid and other coverage programs expand postpartum benefits. This webinar connects that reality to the workplace, exploring how the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, the ADA, and evolving return-to-office expectations intersect during the "fourth trimester," including when a neutral RTO policy must yield to a reasonable accommodation request. It also addresses the practical side of compliance, from PUMP Act time and space requirements to enforcement trends and recent updates affecting salaried and exempt employees. Attendees will leave with practical strategies for navigating phased returns, closing the documentation gap between clinical recommendations and HR requirements, managing performance expectations during an employee's first months back, and building postpartum support into standard business practice rather than ad hoc accommodation.
