Scott Morehouse advises private equity funds, REITs and other institutional investors, as well as developers and operating partners, on structuring and executing complex real estate transactions, with a particular emphasis on joint ventures designed to deploy capital across multiple investments.
Advising clients across major U.S. markets, Scott structures programmatic and single-asset joint ventures, guiding investors and sponsors through the alignment of economics, governance and risk in acquisitions, developments and recapitalizations. He represents both capital providers and operating partners, bringing a practical understanding of how institutional capital and on-the-ground execution intersect.
Scott handles acquisitions, dispositions and financings across a range of property types, including multifamily, office, life sciences and medical office assets, as well as large-scale developments such as master planned communities and office-to-residential conversions. His work frequently involves complex, multi-state portfolios and transactions requiring coordinated structuring across jurisdictions.
A further component of his practice includes advising private credit funds and other non-bank lenders on mortgage and mezzanine financings, A/B structures, loan participations and other co-lending arrangements, as well as the acquisition and restructuring of distressed and non-performing loans.
Outside the office, Scott enjoys boating, pickleball, time in Maine and anything involving his wife and four children.
