Zinovia Verykokidi is a Legal Consultant in the International Trade and Investment Law practice group in the law firm’s Brussels office.
Zinovia’s practice focuses on EU sanctions, foreign direct investment (FDI) screening, and international trade–related regulatory matters. She has experience supporting sanctions compliance, sanctions driven divestments, and cross border regulatory and antitrust assessments, as well as advising on related KYC and AML requirements.
Zinovia holds an LL.M. in International and European Law from the University of Amsterdam and an LL.B. in European Law from Maastricht University. Prior to joining Sheppard, she gained experience in private practice and in house legal teams, including working on due diligence in a multinational acquisition, and conducted legal research on EU sanctions regimes and the EU FDI Screening Regulation at the Meijers Committee.
