Yvette Mabbun is a partner in the Real Estate, Energy, Land Use & Environmental Practice Group in the firm's Dallas office.
Yvette focuses on real property acquisition, disposition, leasing, management, and other related operations considerations for a wide variety of commercial assets nationwide. She has extensive experience negotiating and drafting acquisition and sale agreements for industrial, retail, office, multi-family, hospitality, resort, condominium, c-store, mobile home portfolios, self-storage facilities and mixed-use assets; lease agreements for office, research and development, retail and industrial assets, including modifications necessitated by distressed markets; management and operations agreements, including construction contracts, operating, declarations, reciprocal easement and protective covenants agreements; and coordinating receiverships of commercial real estate assets leading to control, recovery and liquidation of collateral for the benefit of noteholders. She has counseled and represented Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities Trusts, Special Servicers, SBA Lenders/Servicers, and financial institutions in REO transactions, including asset and note sales; purchasers and sellers in acquisitions and dispositions, respectively, of single and portfolio asset transactions; life companies in office lease transactions; landlords and tenants in office, research and development, retail, industrial, and build-to-suit lease transactions nationwide; and real estate clients in the redevelopment of existing commercial real estate. Her representative experience includes:
- representing commercial mortgage-backed securities trusts, special servicers, SBA lenders/servicers and financial institutions in over $7 billion in REO and receivership dispositions and in lease transactions covering over 2 million rentable square feet nationwide;
- representing seller in the disposition of a portfolio of multi-family properties located in California for over $110 million;
- representing seller in the disposition of a portfolio of office buildings located in five states (Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas);
- representing landlords in lease transactions involving national corporate tenants, including American Medical Response, FedEx, IberiaBank, and Verizon Wireless.
