Tiana Garbett is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group in the firm's New York office. She is an associate co-lead of the Artificial Intelligence Team and a member of the Technology Transactions Team and Esports and Games Team.
Tiana assists clients in a variety of transactional matters, including technology transactions, venture capital and growth equity financings and mergers & acquisitions. She has experience counseling technology companies and start up businesses and drafting agreements for SaaS services, intellectual property licensing and commercial contracts. Tiana has represented clients across multiple industries, including software, technology, cybersecurity, financial services, entertainment, healthcare, and food and beverage.
Areas of expertise include:
- Drafting and negotiating commercial and technology transactions including master services agreements, SaaS, consulting agreements, and other agreements related to online services and software development, licensing, distribution, and procurement.
- Advising on corporate policies on use of generative AI and issues with training and implementing AI models.
- Structuring terms of service, privacy policies, and end user license agreements for websites, apps, and various products and services.
- Supporting client objectives in strategic alliance and joint venture transactions, including drafting partnership terms, collaboration frameworks, and operational structures.
Tiana also supports the firm's pro bono initiatives through her work with immigrants and asylum seekers.
