Sheppard Chief Operating Officer and Executive Committee member Rob Brown leads the development and execution of Sheppard’s operational strategy. He unites the business services functions of the firm including finance, talent management, technology, innovation, operations, marketing and information security to drive strategic objectives.
Rob plays a key role in financial management, overseeing budgeting, monitoring cash flow and driving profitability. In collaboration with the chief financial officer, he aligns financial strategy with operational needs. Through detailed financial analysis, Rob identifies investment opportunities, optimizes expenditures and ensures resources are deployed effectively to support growth and innovation.
With more than 30 years of leadership experience across law, banking, investment and consulting, Rob delivers measurable results and builds collaboration across teams. Previously, he served as co-executive director and chief commercial officer at an AmLaw 100 firm, where he led a major merger with a Magic Circle firm and drove client development initiatives, partner recruitment and financial oversight.
Earlier, Rob held senior roles at Barclays, ABN AMRO and Goldman Sachs and began his career at Boston Consulting Group. His broad experience enables him to tackle complex challenges and lead change at every level of the organization.
