Peter Ballance

Overview

Peter Ballance represents lenders, borrowers, developers and property owners in commercial real estate transactions nationwide, grounding his practice in long-standing client relationships and a practical approach to problem-solving. He advises on financing, acquisitions and dispositions of improved and unimproved properties, and is fluent in securitized lending, mezzanine and construction loans across diverse asset types including office, industrial, multifamily, retail, healthcare and mixed use. 

A significant part of Peter’s practice involves guiding institutional lenders and clients through loan restructurings, workouts, foreclosures, deed-in-lieu and deed-in-the-box transactions, and positioning REO assets for sale. He brings a detailed understanding of distressed debt and the loan life cycle, providing practical and efficient solutions that align with client goals.
