He also handles cartel defense, abuse of dominance investigations, antitrust and commercial litigation, including collective actions, and strategic commercial counseling across the UK, Germany and the European Union.
Based in London, where he heads the UK competition team, Oliver helps clients navigate high-stakes transactional, regulatory and litigation exposure across multiple jurisdictions while coordinating with global legal teams on cross-border matters.
Representing clients before the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), the German Bundeskartellamt and other competition authorities across Europe, Oliver regularly coordinates European strategy for multinational companies—including Japanese and U.S. businesses operating across the continent. His work includes complex transactions, parallel proceedings and global investigations.
Oliver has a strong track record in cartel defense matters before the European Commission and national authorities in the UK and Germany. He also advises on the evolving EU regulatory landscape, including the Digital Markets Act, the Data Act, the Cyber Resilience Act and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive. Oliver handles matters directly across the UK, Germany and the EU.
Drawing on extensive experience advising technology, consumer electronics, life sciences and industrial companies, Oliver counsels clients on structuring distribution systems, licensing arrangements, R&D collaborations and other commercial relationships to mitigate competition risk while supporting business growth. He also litigates commercial disputes and designs and implements multinational compliance programs.
Oliver additionally advises on data protection and GDPR matters, including regulatory investigations, data access requests, internal governance and consumer-facing privacy policies.
