Overview

Michael Wilson is an experienced dealmaker who focuses on serving clients in the private capital industry—including private equity and private credit—and has successfully guided clients to closing hundreds of transactions. He serves as co-leader of the firm’s Private Equity team.

Mike focuses on mergers and acquisitions, representing institutional investors, portfolio companies, founders and private companies on acquisitions, investments and exits. His extensive private equity experience includes representing funds, general partners and limited partners in portfolio investments, LP investments, continuation vehicles, GP-led secondaries, fund formation and working with small business investment companies (SBICs). Beyond traditional M&A, Mike advises on complex, customized transactions such as joint ventures, multi-phase restructurings and recapitalizations.

His clients include venture capital funds, startups and entrepreneurs, for whom he handles venture capital and growth equity transactions and company launches.

Mike also manages debt finance transactions, representing banks in lending to private equity funds and non-bank lenders in private credit transactions.

With deep experience handling deals in the technology, healthcare and life sciences sectors, Mike frequently works with companies across aerospace and defense, manufacturing and industrials, energy transition, food and beverage, consumer products, and fintech and Insurtech.

Clients value Mike’s responsiveness and attention to detail and credit him with bringing emotional intelligence to transactions that enables him to quickly understand stakeholder motivations, cut through gamesmanship and get deals done.   • Represented Vuaant, Inc., d/b/a care.ai in its sale to Stryker Corporation (NYSE: SYK). 
  • Represented Prospect Partners in its investment to acquire a controlling interest in Warren Roofing & Insulating, Cleveland Building Restoration (“CBR”), and Total Roofing Services.
  • Represented Vapor Power International and affiliates in their sale to Thermon Group Holdings, Inc.
  • Represented Chicago Pacific Founders as lead investor in a $42.2 million PIPE offering by P3 Health Partners.
  • Represented WellBe Senior Medical, an in-home healthcare provider, in its growth capital raise from strategic investors including CVS Health Growth Equity, Excellus Health Plan and Intermountain Ventures Fund.
  • Represented a private equity fund in its acquisition of a controlling interest in a company specializing in pet microbiome.
  • Represented a healthcare real estate investment fund in its acquisition of a management company from a living communities group.
