Michael Driscoll

Overview

Mike Driscoll is an experienced trial attorney who provides practical counsel to financial institutions, investors and creditors facing complex distressed debt and bankruptcy matters.

Mike has extensive experience in pursuing remedies for creditors in bankruptcy courts, and state and federal courts. He helps creditors evaluate options, enforce their rights and implement strategies tailored to the circumstances of each case. 

Before joining Sheppard, Mike served as a trial attorney in the United States Department of Justice’s Office of the United States Trustee for the Southern District of New York through the Attorney General’s Honor Program. He represented the office in more than 150 Chapter 11 cases, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations during all phases of bankruptcy cases.

Prior to law school, Mike was an active duty and reserve officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served two tours in Iraq and was awarded two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and a Combat Action Ribbon. He was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps as a major.

Mike serves as co-chair of the Recruiting Committee for the New York office.
