Kirk Rider is an associate in the Finance and Bankruptcy Practice Group in the firm's San Francisco office.
In law school, Kirk served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Judges William J. Lafferty, Dennis Montali, and Charles Novack of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California. He was a Senior Articles Editor for the University of California Law Journal and his article Debt End: The Texas Two-Step and the Constitution was published in volume 76, issue 1. Kirk also served as a board member of the UC Law SF Moot Court Team where he coached and competed in competitions. In Spring 2025 Kirk competed and placed third in the 33rd Annual Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition. Kirk also worked as a teaching assistant for first-year students in Legal Research and Writing I & II.
