John Healy is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the firm's New York office.
Prior to joining the firm, John graduated cum laude from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, earning a concentration in intellectual property law honors, and cum laude from The Ohio State University, earning a bachelor of science in industrial and systems engineering. John served as senior research editor, web developer, and blog editor of the Journal of International Business & Law and founded the journal's International Business Digest blog. John also served as managing editor of the Moot Court Board, authoring the Spring 2024 fact pattern and laying the groundwork for the school's first Hofstra Advocacy Casebook.
Outside of the classroom, John served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Mary Kay Vyskocil in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, a teaching assistant in both Evidence and Legal Writing, and a research assistant for the school's lead intellectual property professor. John has also published three scholarly articles, one magazine article, and numerous blog posts.
In addition to his extracurricular involvement, John was elected the class of 2024 graduation speaker and received the Excellence in Intellectual Property Award and the William Eric Goldberg Endowed Memorial Scholarship upon graduation.
