Golnaz Yazdchi Eroen is a partner in Sheppard’s Private Wealth and Fiduciary Litigation group and known for her representation of clients in some of the most high-stakes, high-profile, and complex trust and estate disputes in the country.
Golnaz is an experienced trial lawyer and has worked on numerous high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth disputes involving business succession, battles over inheritances, and fiduciary conduct. In 2024, Golnaz served as second chair trial counsel for Rupert Murdoch, securing a landmark victory for Mr. Murdoch in the dispute over the succession of his media empire. Having over a decade of experience litigating cases with the Private Wealth and Fiduciary Litigation group leader, nationally-recognized trial lawyer Adam Streisand, Golnaz has handled a wide variety of real life “Succession” stories, including cases involving professional sports franchises, such as the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Chargers, as well as other celebrity and public figures, such as the trusts/estates of Tom Petty, Alan Thicke, Barry White, Vidal Gore, and many others.
Golnaz splits her time between the firm’s San Diego (Del Mar) and Century City offices. Although based in Southern California, Golnaz has significant experience representing clients throughout California and in Nevada.

Golnaz represents some of the world’s wealthiest individuals and families, as well as corporate and individual trustees, private professional fiduciaries, beneficiaries, heirs, executors, administrators, and creditors in a wide range of contested trust, estate, and conservatorship matters. Her practice encompasses all aspects of trust and estate controversies, including trust and will contests, breach of fiduciary duty actions, property ownership disputes, disputed accountings, judicial construction and modification of trusts, elder abuse claims, and contested conservatorships.
Golnaz is active in the Southern California legal community and dedicates time to pro bono matters. She is a member of the Probate Attorneys of San Diego, Los Angeles County Bar Association Trust and Estate Section, serves as a volunteer member of the California Lawyers Association Trust & Estates Executive Committee (TEXCOM), where she is responsible for summarizing new case authority for members of the section, and ProVisors. She also contributes to the legal community regularly through thought leadership and speaking engagements.
