Overview

Daniel Belzer is a corporate transactional attorney who focuses on private company mergers and acquisitions and equity financings. He helps private equity and other clients negotiate and navigate complex, transformational transactions and frequently serves as outside general counsel, providing day-to-day advice and counseling on transactional legal issues that may arise.

Recognized as a hands-on, solutions-oriented dealmaker, Daniel adopts a personal, "one-size-does-not-fit-all" approach to legal counsel. He prioritizes understanding his clients’ business objectives on each transaction and develops tailored, practical strategies to meet their needs.

Daniel supports a diverse client base, including private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, strategic public acquirers, venture capital funds and emerging companies. He is industry agnostic, with experience spanning a wide range of sectors, including industrial, manufacturing, aviation, private security, entertainment, communications, social media, software, technology, healthcare, food and beverage, hospitality and real estate.

Outside his legal practice, Daniel is an avid snowboarder and uses his passion for the sport as an opportunity to travel to remote destinations around the world.

  • Represented AMN Healthcare (NYSE: AMN) in its acquisition of Stratus Video from Kinderhook Industries for $475 million.
  • Represented AMN Healthcare (NYSE: AMN) in its acquisition of MedPartners for $195 million.
  • Represented AMN Healthcare (NYSE: AMN) in its acquisition of MSDR for $300 million.
  • Represented Aretex Capital Management, LP in the spin-off from existing platform and creation of a new private equity platform and the acquisition of 3 portfolio company investments with a combined value of over $600 million, including $325 million of equity provided by Goldman Sachs and ICG Capital.
  • Represented Aretex Capital Management, LP in the acquisition of senior securities of Building Energy 1 Holdings plc, a European-based global alternative energy company.
  • Represented Aretex Capital Partners in its acquisition of Alerian, the developer of the energy benchmark Alerian MLP Index.
  • Represented Ardian Capital North America in its take private acquisition of PRGX, Inc.
  • Represented Ardian Capital North America in its acquisition of Tom Barrow Company.
  • Represented Wencor, a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus, in numerous acquisitions including Silver Wings Aerospace, Aviatron, and ASC Industries
  • Represented Hygiena, a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus, in numerous acquisitions including Helica Biosystems and Celsis Dairy
  • Represented Certified Labs, a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus, in numerous acquisitions including ABC Testing, Kaycha Labs, and Microconsult.
  • Represented Service Champions, a portfolio company of Odyssey Investment Partners, in numerous acquisitions including Sierra Air and Swan Heating and Air
  • Represented Solis Capital Partners in its investment in ICOM North America.
  • Represented StudyKIK in its sale of equity to Kinderhook Industries.
