Andrea Hall is special counsel in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm’s San Francisco office.
Andrea is an experienced litigator whose practice centers on the defense of insurers in complex disputes. She has defended first- and third-party insurers in coverage and bad faith disputes. A significant portion of her work involves defending insurers against class actions, where she handles the full arc of litigation—from pleadings-stage challenges through contested class discovery, class certification, and dispositive motion practice. She is well-versed in the interplay between class certification standards and the merits, and in positioning early motions to narrow or defeat class exposure before certification briefing.
Before joining Sheppard, Andrea worked at two international law firms, defending insurers in coverage litigation spanning general liability, excess, professional liability, and E&O policies, along with bad faith and statutory unfair-practices claims.
