Allison Martin Rhodes is Sheppard's General Counsel. She has dedicated her career to advising on legal ethics, risk management and professional responsibility. She serves as counselor to the Firm on operational, governance and compliance matters, including client and matter intake, conflicts of interest, policy development, internal investigations, contract management, subpoena compliance, lateral partner integration and defense of claims.
Before joining Sheppard, Allison was a partner at an AmLaw 50 firm, where her practice was exclusively dedicated to representing lawyers, law firms, legal departments and alternative legal service providers.
Recognized as a leading voice in the legal community, Allison is co-author of the treatise Hillman on Lawyer Mobility: The Law and Ethics of Partner Withdrawals and Law Firm Breakups. She served as president of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers and is a longstanding member of the ABA Center for Professional Responsibility.
Earlier in her career, Allison served as a deputy district attorney with the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office and was a child protective service worker.
