Sheppard’s Healthcare team has been shortlisted as a finalist for The American Lawyer’s “Best Corporate Practice” award in the specialty Healthcare/Pharmaceutical category. Each year, the prestigious American Lawyer Industry Awards honor law firms handling “the industry’s most impactful and important work,” according to the publication. Sheppard is one of eight finalists for 2026, and this marks the second time the firm has been named a finalist in this category.
Sheppard was named a finalist for driving some of the healthcare industry’s most significant mergers and acquisitions and large-scale joint ventures, such as Ascension Health Alliance’s $3.9 billion acquisition of ambulatory surgery center operator AMSURG. The Healthcare team also represented Clayton, Dubilier & Rice in the formation of a multibillion-dollar strategic partnership to launch Mosaic Health, a new advanced primary care venture.
Winners will be announced during The American Lawyer Industry Awards gala in New York City on November 12.
