Sheppard is pleased to announce that Andrew Kang and Lillian Kim have joined the firm as partners in the Corporate practice group.
Kang and Kim follow partners Heather Bethancourt and Linda Zeman, who joined the firm’s Corporate practice earlier this month. As transactions become increasingly global and strategically complex, Kang and Kim bring a wealth of experience advising private and public companies across the full lifecycle of corporate matters.

Kang, based in Chicago, leads private equity firms and their portfolio companies and other public and private companies through a variety of corporate transactions, including platform and add-on acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, carve-outs and strategic mergers, as well as structured growth investments, dispositions, special situations transactions and joint ventures. He also counsels clients on general corporate matters, including ongoing governance considerations. Kang has been recognized by Legal 500 US as a leading mid-market M&A lawyer. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Cornell University and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.
Kim, based in New York, has extensive experience representing public and private companies, boards of directors and special committees in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and other sophisticated corporate matters. Her practice spans the technology, life sciences, energy, financial services and consumer sectors. Kim has been recognized by Lawdragon as one of the 500 Leading Dealmakers in America, with particular emphasis on Technology/Life Sciences M&A and named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Mergers and Acquisitions. She earned her B.A. from Wellesley College and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.
