Sheppard’s Corporate practice advised ARCHIMED, a leading healthcare-focused investment firm, in connection with its lead investment in Renata Medical, Inc.’s Series D financing round, which raised $25 million to support the commercialization and advancement of the company’s pediatric cardiovascular technologies.
Renata Medical is a privately held medical technology company dedicated to transforming care for children with congenital heart disease (CHD). The financing will support expanded U.S. commercialization of the company’s Minima™ Stent System, expansion into international markets, advancement of its pipeline of pediatric-specific CHD technologies and continued clinical evidence generation.
The Sheppard deal team was led by Alex Lazar and Kanasha S. Herbert, and included Rachel Kupfer. Subject matter advice was provided by Dmitriy Chelnitsky, Dominick DiSabatino, Justine Lei and Ashley Wheelock.
