In August 2021, a NJ district court granted the FTC's motion to preliminarily enjoin Hackensack Meridian Health and Englewood Healthcare Foundation's proposed merger. Although the hospitals argued the merger would benefit patients, the FTC claimed the merger was "highly suspicious." Our distinguished panel will examine both sides' arguments and the district court's reasoning behind its decision.
