For nearly 25 years, Jeff Crowe has helped insurance companies analyze and respond to a variety of coverage disputes and defend against suits alleging breach of contract, bad faith, unfair competition and class action claims. His experience runs across nearly all lines of personal and commercial insurance, including property, casualty, surplus and excess, professional liability, life and specialty insurance.
Jeff has a strong record of managing complex, high-stakes cases in state and federal courts, both at the trial and appellate levels. His work includes reviewing first-party coverages, investigating potentially fraudulent claims, analyzing complicated liability issues and preparing coverage opinions and position letters.
Jeff is a co-leader of Sheppard’s Insurance industry team and a frequent author and editor of the firm’s Insurance Law Blog. He also speaks on emerging industry issues and fair claims handling and settlement practices.
Outside of his insurance work, Jeff is active in pro bono and volunteer efforts, including serving as a United Way e-Mentor for the 2022 and 2023 e-Mentorship Program and as a member of the Advisory Board for the Carolyn Campagna Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum.
