We celebrate and honor the women who have contributed to the success of our firm, communities, and families.
Women's History Month traces its beginning back to 1908 when 15,000 women marched in New York City demanding better jobs, fair pay, and voting rights. In 1911 the first International Women's Day was celebrated in the United States and in 1978 support began to secure a National Women's History Week after the success of Sonoma County's Women's History Week celebration. In 1987, after being petitioned by the National Women's History Project, Congress passed Pub. L. 100-9 designating the month of March as Women's History Month. Since then, the month has become an opportunity to honor women across the world and recognize their many achievements. It is also an opportunity to educate and reflect on special challenges women continue to face.
