Sheppard Mullin is proud to celebrate the generations of Black and African Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and our Firm.
Every February, we commemorate the incredible accomplishments, contributions, and the central role of Black and African Americans in our collective U.S. history. The theme of Black History Month 2023 is Black Resistance, in recognition of those who have fought and continue to fight against injustice and oppression. We can honor the lessons of history by championing change during Black History Month, and every day of the year. Black History Month began in 1926 as a week-long celebration to encourage the study of overlooked achievements of African Americans when announced by famed historian Carter G. Woodson. Join Sheppard Mullin in commemorating this month.
Many thanks to Sheppard Mullin’s Planning Committee for their hard work and for collaborating with the D&I Team to make this month’s special events and initiatives possible. We invite you to join the conversation and take part in our virtual event to commemorate Black History Month.
